Getting there
Fly into Boston Logan (BOS), 10 minutes from downtown by Silver Line bus or taxi. Amtrak and commuter rail arrive at South Station and Back Bay. Most visitors skip a car entirely: the T subway, buses, and ferries cover the whole rental map.

Where to stay in Boston
Downtown & Financial District
Closest to the Freedom Trail, Boston Common, and Faneuil Hall. Mostly high-rise condo rentals, quiet on weekends, unbeatable for first-time visitors.
Back Bay
Victorian brownstones on Commonwealth Avenue, shopping on Newbury Street, and easy Green Line access. The classic Boston rental address.
Beacon Hill
Gas lamps, cobblestones, and small garden-level apartments. Charming and central, but expect stairs, tight rooms, and no parking.
North End
Boston Little Italy: narrow streets, bakeries, and walk-up apartments above restaurants. Lively and loud; wonderful for food-led trips.
Seaport District
Newest rental stock in the city, with modern one and two bedroom apartments, waterfront restaurants, and the ICA museum.
Fenway & Kenmore
Game-day energy, student pricing, and quick rides to the Museum of Fine Arts. Good value if you can tolerate crowds on Red Sox nights.
South End
Row houses, quieter residential blocks, and the strongest brunch scene. Family-sized rentals here often cost less than Back Bay.
Cambridge & Charlestown
Just across the river or harbour. More space per dollar, Harvard and MIT on one side, Bunker Hill and the USS Constitution on the other.
